Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder – 2 tsp
  • Salt – ¼ tsp
  • Milk – ¾ cup
  • Egg – 1 large
  • Butter (melted) – 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence – ½ tsp
  • Oil or butter – for cooking

Preparation Process

  1. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla essence.
  3. Combine: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix gently. Don’t overmix; a few lumps are fine.
  4. Heat pan: Heat a non-stick pan or griddle on medium flame and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  5. Cook pancakes: Pour ¼ cup batter onto the pan for each pancake. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Stack pancakes on a plate and serve hot with syrup, honey, fruits, or nuts.
