Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
- Besan (gram flour) – ¾ cup
- Powdered sugar – ¾ cup
- Cardamom (Elaichi) – 3 pods (powdered)
- Sooji (rava) – 1 tbsp
- Ghee / Oil / Butter – ¾ cup
- Salt – a pinch
- Baking powder – ½ tsp
- Baking soda – ¼ tsp
Preparation Steps
- Blend sugar, cardamom, and ghee/oil/butter
In a blender, combine powdered sugar, cardamom, and ghee (or oil/butter) to make a smooth, creamy mixture. - Mix dry ingredients
In a bowl, combine wheat flour, besan, sooji, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix well. - Combine
Pour the blended sugar-ghee mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix with hands to form a smooth, soft dough. - Shape biscuits
Roll small balls, flatten lightly, or use cookie cutters to shape as desired. - Bake
- Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F).
- Arrange biscuits on a greased tray.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until edges turn golden.
- Cool and serve
Let biscuits cool completely; they become crisp after cooling.
